Who are you favorite authors and why do you like?

Here's my top ten list.

1. Alexander Dumas for his ultimate imagination and optimism. And also his best character relations and sense of humor. (Best book : The Three Musketeers)

2. Sir Walter Scott his true vision on every character in his books always amaze me. He never praise a king or never discriminate a beggar. In his version of the world, all men are full with flaws and reasons. (Best book: Ivanhoe)

3. Sir Henry Rider Haggard like him especially for his books about a hunter adventurer 'Allan Quatermain". Adventurous, interesting lost places, tragedies and sense of friendship are the tastes of his writings. (Best book: King Solomon's Mine)

4. Charles John Huffam Dickens boring but deep feelings and heavy climax always bring me a sense I can have nowhere. (Best book: The Great Expectations)

5. Harold Robbins Love his sense of true nature and creation of big stage and plots. And also romantic and erotic scenes.. hehe (Best book: The Carpet Bagger)

6 Alistair MacLean His plots are inspirations of Hollywood detective films like Die Hard and 24. His villains are always gentlemen and mostly never kill but his heroes always kill many. :D love it. (Best book: Satan Bug)

7 Jack Higgins love his research skills and uncovering of truth under myth. He can always make a fiction a reality. (Best book: The Eagles has landed)

8 Tuda Swell (Thawdar Swe) I really like his sense of humor and satires. He can really visualize stupidity of people who are pretending themselves great in front of others. Also like him for his closer style to me and also a happy alcoholic. :D and also like him coz most of his works are own expressions not translated versions. Even he translate, he can really make a very different version from the original one. (Best book: Ma Khin Hnin Si)

9 Zawanah he has such a brilliant way of describing emotions and personal relationships. And also best known re teller of his own personal experiences. (Best book: College Kyaung Thar)

10 Lt. Col Thaung Htike (Retired) He's the best Military History Researcher, Lecturer, and Practitioner our country has ever had. He may be the only one in the Army to has attended 1 Academy in England and 2 in United States. He wrote articles in many Jornals published in US and Australia about military tactics and the lack of strategy in US Army. (Best book: Strategy)

Ok.. that's my top list, there's other authors I like but I need a whole another website to describe them.. :D actually I love all nice books.. Books are half of my life.
